8 Jul 2006 - 3rd Davyhul,me Band Take "Silver" at the European Marchimg Bamd Championships
The European Marching Band Championships were held down in summerset with the 3rd Davyhulme Scout And Guide Band entered in four catagories. The Concert Championship, The Fun Parade, The Championsip Parade and the Showband Champioships.
In the Concert Championship the band was awarded a "Silver Award" with 78.25 points putting them 3rd out of 5 Bands.
In the Fun Parade the band also recived a "Silver Award" making them "European Parade Champions" with 70.00 points putting them 1st out of 3 Bands.
The Junior band took a "Bronze Award" in the Showband Championship with 65.75 points and were 3rd out of 5 Bands.
The senior band took another "Silver Award" in there Showband Championship taking 71.50 points placing them 2nd out of 4 Bands.
As 3rd Davyhulme Scout And Guide Band scored the highest points of the Intermediate Class in the Parade Contest we were crowned ?Intermediate European Open Parade Band Champions 2006?.
Likewise, Julie achieved the highest points of the Drum Major in the Intermediate Class and was crowned ?Intermediate European Open Champion Drum Major 2006?
